The Modern Baby Blanket starts out with solid granny squares divided into triangles of different colors. Joining each square together with a slip stitch, the arrows will begin to form with the connecting triangles. Once all squares are seamed, the entire project is finished off with a cluster border.

Drops Nepal has a robust selection of colors which made it a little hard to narrow things down. Since I knew I was going for a blanket with Light Beige as the base and 4 accent colors, I started mixing and matching the different options. The options are endless!

NOTES:

  • The pattern chart below indicates the yarn colors to make the blanket. White indicates the beige (A) color of the square and the black indicate the 4 accent colors (B, C, D and E)

  • The squares are made up of 2 triangles, one of each color.

  • To make the blanket, you’ll need 20 squares of each color combo: (beige + deep ocean A+B), (beige + fog A+C) (beige + sea blue A+D) and (beige + denim blue A+E).

  • This project results in a lot of ends. Try to weave them in as you go.
